PRODUCT DATA of 18 Ni Maraging steel, 200 grade
Material18 Ni Maraging steel, 200 grade
General InformationAnnealed for one hour at 1500° F, air cooled and aged at 900° F for three hours Manufacturer datasheet
Processing and AssemblyIn the solution annealed condition (as supplied to the customer), they are very tough, relatively soft (30/35 R c ), and therefore, readily machined and formed. After machining or forming, a precipitation hardening (aging) process, which requires no protective atmosphere and relatively low furnace temperatures, raises the hardness to a level sufficient for many tooling applications.
Chemical CompositionFe-18.5Ni-8.5Co-3.5Mo-0.2Ti
